The Role of Media in the Globalization Process

Over the past years, a steady legal basis has been created in our country to fully meet the democratic requirements and standards of journalism. The number of media outlets is increasing and opportunities are expanding. This phenomenon indicates the active development of the media market of our country. That’s why today it is important to prepare a new generation of future journalists personnel, as well as training of advanced specialists in this profession.

   Such issues were discussed at the international scientific-practical conference “The role of media in the globalization process” organized at Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh.

  First the guests from the Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan and Tashkent met with Rector of Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh and exchanged opinions on further development of the relations between the universities.

   The international scientific-practical conference was led by Rector of the University Akhmet Reymov.

   Editor-in-chief of “The Karakalpak Literature” newspaper, Senator G.Annaklicheva, Head of “The Karakalpak Writers” Union K.Karimov, Associate Professor of Kiev State University of Culture and Arts A.Polisuchenko, Associate Professor of Osh State University Z. Mamatjanova, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor F.Muminov, Professor of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy F.Muminova and others participated at the event with the reports.

   As the speakers told, the effectiveness of the Actions Strategy, being implemented under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and increasing the prestige of the state in the international arena, first is revealed in the media. That is why journalists have a lot of responsibilities. The most important is that they should never forget that they must reflect the truth of life. This is one of the unchangable requirements of journalism.

   In the second half of the day, the conference continued its work in the sections.
