On June 16-17, 2019 Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan Inomjon Madjidov visited the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

During the visit he held meetings with the students, professors – teachers of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Karakalpakstan on the issues of the contents of the assignments given by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan at the meeting with the representatives of education and science fields of the National University of Uzbekistan on 24 May of this year.

At the meetings, he discussed the issues of human capital development in our country with the heads of higher educational institutions, academicians, scientists, young researchers and students.

The Minister’s meeting with the students was held in a friendly way and the young people asked questions which interested them. In particular, they spoke about the organization of the educational process, attraction of qualified local and foreign specialists to the lessons, barriers in their startup projects and financial difficulties.

“I believe that such open conversations will help to solve problems and  shortcomings of our students, as well as contribute to the learning process,” said the student of Karakalpak State University A.Kalbaev.

So, such issues as commercialization of research developments, raising young researchers’ interest in science, strengthening collaboration with manufacturers, attracting innovative investment in international best practices and techniques were discussed with all the heads and professors – teachers of higher educational institutions of Karakalpakstan.

He also got acquainted with preparation for admission for higher educational institutions in the Republic of Karakalpakstan for the 2019 – 2020 academic year. During this process, he gave recommendations to the heads of higher educational institutions on the issues of conducting admission on the appropriate level. At the same time, he visited the newly built buildings and constructions of the Ajiniyaz Nukus State Pedagogical Institute.
