The regular meeting of the Council of Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh (Number 12) has been held.

The meeting was held by Rector of the University Akhmet Reymov.

The vice – rectors of the University, heads of departments, deans and heads of chairs participated at the meeting of the Council.

First, the secretary of the University Council Salamat Mirzatayev had a report on the confirmation of the Council members’ staff and the calendar working – plan for the 2019 – 2020 academic year. Then the results of the vacancy competition were announced in the newspaper “Erkin Karakalpakstan” No. 62-63 (20305) dated to May 18, 2019.

Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Dauletbay Bekbauliyev, who collected 97% of the votes, was appointed for the position of Head of Journalism Department. Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Marat Tagayev, who collected 88% of the votes, was elected as Head of Physics Department. Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Bakhtiyar Abdikamalov was elected to the title of Professor of Physics Department, and Malika Zhumamuratova was elected to the title of Professor of Journalism Department. In addition, candidates nominated for the position of associate professors, senior teachers, and assistants were selected.

At the event, according to the resolution of the University Council, Kazi of Muslims Kaziyat of Karakalpakstan Shamsuddin Bahauddinov has been awarded with title of honor of Honorable Professor of Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh.

There were also reports on current issues of the agenda of the Council meeting.
