The nationwide holiday of teachers and mentors, the world’s greatest, sacred and honorable profession, was held at Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh. Our honorable President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in his congratulatory message said: “I am sure that you, the most active representatives of the intelligentsia, you and our respected teachers and mentors will take a new look at the scale of reforms in our country to improve the social and spiritual environment; be an example to all, actively participating in the development of the social system based on family and community partnership!”.     

Indeed, all our parents, our broad community, our entire nation knows and values our teachers’ selfless work to instill a sense of love and devotion to Motherland in the hearts and minds of our young people, to protect them from various alien ideas, and to nurture them as perfect human beings.

At the festive event Rector of the University A.Reymov, Mayor of Nukus P.Tureshov, Head of the Fund of Veterans of the Republic of Karakalpakstan Sh.Usnatdinov, Minister of Public Education of the Republic of Karakalpakstan A.Ayapov, Chairman of the Council of Veterans of the University B.Abdikamalov and others congratulated everybody on the holiday.

At the event organized in honor of the holiday by the Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, a group of professors and teachers of the University were awarded with the badge of “High Achiever of Public Education of the Republic of Karakalpakstan”. In addition, the University awarded the honorary mentors, professors and teachers who have been active for many years with “Honorary Diploma”, money prizes and valuable gifts.

As it was noted at the event, the University community is starting the new academic year with great success. Among the students who received state scholarships, 1 scholarship holder of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, 1 holder of Navoiy scholarship, 1 holder of Ulugbek scholarship, 2 holders of Beruniy scholarship, 1 holder of the scholarship named after Islam Karimov, as well as 8 holders of the scholarship named after Berdakh.

In addition, from September 14-22, 2019, the 4 – year student of the Physical Culture Faculty Zhalgasbay Berdimuratov won the bronze medal in the weight category up to 77 kg at the regular World Wrestling Championship in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan and got an opportunity to participate at the Olympic Games which will be held in Tokyo in 2020 and this is a great achievement for the University team.

Our people will never forget the incomparable and glorious service of our dear teachers, “Great as fathers, and kind as mothers”, dedicated themselves to this great profession.

 At the end of the event, a festive table was organized for the veterans – teachers of the University and there was presented a concert program prepared by the University ensemble “Khurliman”.
