At the initiative of the head of state in our country, great attention is paid to the careful preservation and development of national and religious values, and to a deep study of the heritage of our ancestors on a scientific basis. The role of deep study and propaganda among the public, especially the younger generation, the creative heritage, life and work of our famous writers and poets, is very important.
The famous poet, who made a huge contribution to the prosperity of Karakalpak literature, a dedicated person, the national poet of Uzbekistan and Karakalpakstan, Jienbai Izbaskanov, turned 70 years old.
In connection with the significant date, on October 26 of this year, a literary evening called “Master of Lyrics” was held at the Berdakh Karakalpak State University
The event was led by the rector of the university A. Reymov.
Speaking at the event, the chairman of the Writers’ Union of Karakalpakstan K. Karimov, professors K. Zharimbetov, K. Orazymbetov, candidate of philological sciences, poet B. Genzhemuratov and others noted the poet’s creative activity, his role in Karakalpak literature.
Jienbai Izbaskanov entered the stage of literature as a poet. On a number of his works, full of deep meaning, music is written, and performed by famous representatives of art. Some lyric poems have been translated into Uzbek and Russian. He is also an excellent translator of the images of world classical works in the Karakalpak language.
Such works of the outstanding poet were published as “On the Horse” (1975), “Summer Has Passed” (1979), “From the Notebook of Lyrics” (1982), “Selected Works” (1993), “White Birds” (2014) and others.
The poet’s creative work is adequately appreciated by the state, Jienbai Izbaskanov was awarded the “Certificate of Honor” by Jokargi Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, in 2000 1 volume of “Selected Works” (“Saylandi shygarmalary”) was awarded the state award named after Berdakh of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, in 2005 – “A national poet of Karakalpakstan “, and in 2012 -” A national poet of Uzbekistan”.
The literary evening continued with a concert program prepared by the Hurliman folk ensemble of the university.
