On February 6, 2020, in accordance with the work plan of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the first half of 2020, in order to study the state of external labor migration in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, to review the status of work on legal protection and social support for migrant workers, a seminar was held at the Berdakh Karakalpak State University on “Addressing the essence and significance of ongoing reforms in the field of regular and safe external labor migration”.

The seminar was attended by an adviser to the Prime Minister – the head of the Department Komil Rashidov, First Deputy Minister of Employment and Labor Relations Erkin Mukhitdinov, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan Erkin Durdiev.

The event was led by the rector of the Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh, Professor A.Reymov.

At a training seminar, an adviser to the Prime Minister – Head of Department Komil Rashidov told young people about labor migration, its current significance, and ongoing work in the field of labor migration. During the training, First Deputy Minister of Employment and Labor Relations Erkin Mukhitdinov spoke about the most difficult cases of labor migration and how to protect citizens today. Students were awarded legal books.

During the training, students asked questions and expressed opinions and suggestions.
