On April 20 of this year, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a video conference on ensuring the full functioning of enterprises in the fields of industry, construction and infrastructure.

At the meeting, President raised the issue of supporting segments of the population in need of social protection. He noted the need to identify and expand the provision of food and medicine to families who are temporarily unemployed and in need of assistance.

In the current pandemic, the increase in the number of unemployed and people in need is natural. Various countries, along with the fight against this disease, use all available opportunities to maintain jobs and prevent the sharp onset of the economic crisis.

On this purpose, at the meeting, taking into account the historical and spiritual values ​​of our people, such high qualities as mercy, generosity and kindness, our President took the initiative to create a national movement “Kindness and Support”.

The President’s initiative is also supported by the staff of BerdakhKarakalpak State University.

Today, professors and teachers of the Faculty of Mathematics of the University came to the student dormitory and visited foreign students living there. They provided them with the food necessary for daily consumption.

Of course, such good deeds will continue.
