Department of Archeology

 

The Department of Archeology is an educational institution that trains historians. The department was created in 1936 on the basis of the Pedagogical Institute. In 1936-1976 the department was headed by Turdymurat Bekimbetov, Dzhangabay Dosumov, Gayip Nepesov, Oringul Kydyrbaeva, Kitaybek Sarybaev. After the establishment of Nukus State University in 1976-1997, the department was headed by A. Tureyev, K. Mukhammedberdiev, M. Tleumuratov, M. Turebekovs are in the lead. From 1998 to 2013 the department was headed by E. B. Bidzhanov, J. Aitmuratov, M. Sh. Kdyrniyazov, S. S. Saimanov, M. K. Seytimbetov in 2013-2019. A. Sulaimanov, J. Khakimniyazov has been heading the Department of Archeology since October 2019. At present, the department is headed by Professor M.-Sh. Kdyrniyazov, professor R. Dj. Urazbayeva, associate professors M. Turebekov, J. Aytmuratov, G. A. Tureeva, G. Karamanova, (Ph.D.) O.-Sh. teachers F. J. Utepbergenov, I. G. Elmuratov, N. M. Seytimbetova, M. The department trains bachelors in history, archeology and masters in archeology and ethnography. The department has scientific ties with the Institute of Archeology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Karakalpak Research Humanitarian Institute of the Academy of Sciences, the National Uzbek State University, Tashkent State Pedagogical University, Urgench State University, Nukus State Pedagogical Institute.

Sagdullaev) On April 2, 2019, he successfully defended his doctoral dissertation (PhD) on the topic “The history of culture of the city of the Southern Aral Sea region (VII-XII centuries)”. Turebekov), Kudaibergenov S. “History of the Ancient Routes of the Aral Sea Region” (scientific advisor, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Academician A. Sagdullaev), Madreimov B.Yu. Research is underway on the topic “Modern research of the paleolithic of Karakalpakstan” (scientific adviser, Ph.D., associate professor Sayfullaev B.).

Students and undergraduates undergo practical training in the Central Archives of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the Museum of History and Culture of Karakalpakstan and the Museum of Art and Culture. I.V. Savitsky. Archaeological excavations are being carried out in the settlements of Mizdahkan, Jampik-kala, Puljay, Bograkhan. Khakimniyazov Jolmurza Khodjabekovich, candidate of historical sciences, associate professor. Was born on September 1, 1963 in the Chimbay region. In 1990 he graduated from the Karakalpak State University. Historian by profession. In 1999 he defended his thesis “Public and religious buildings of medieval Khorezm”. He has published over 90 scientific and methodological works. In particular, 2 monographs and 5 textbooks have been published. Since 2016, he is the head of the department and dean of the Karakalpak State University. Head of the Department of Archeology since 2019.

 

Kdyrniyazov Muhammed-Sharip, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor. “Honored Scientist of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.” Born on March 30, 1950 in the Kungrad region. (1950-2019) In 1971 he graduated from the Nukus State Pedagogical Institute. He is a historian and philologist. In 1980 he defended his dissertation on the topic “Golden Horde cities of Khorezm”, in 2005 he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic “Khorezm culture of the XIII-XIV centuries”. He has published over 250 scientific and methodological works. In particular, 6 monographs, 1 textbook and 10 teaching aids have been published. Since 1980 he worked as a lecturer, senior lecturer, associate professor and dean of the faculty of the Karakalpak State University. Since 2014 professor of archeology.

 

 

Urazbayeva Ravshan Dzhangabaevna, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, “Honored Youth Teacher of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.” (1958-2020) was born on September 17, 1958 in the Amu Darya region. In 1980 he graduated from the Nukus State Pedagogical Institute. Historian by profession. In 1984 he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic “History of higher and secondary specialized education in Karakalpakstan”, in 2012 he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic “History of education in Karakalpakstan”. He has published over 130 scientific and methodological works. Since 1980 he has been working at the Karakalpak State University as a teacher, senior teacher, associate professor, and since 2014 – as a professor at the Department of Archeology.

 

 

Turebekov Mirzaly, candidate of historical sciences, associate professor. Born on January 19, 1954 in the Takhtakupir region. In 1974 he graduated from the Karakalpak State Pedagogical Institute. History and geography of the specialty. In 1982 he defended his dissertation on the topic “Defensive structures of ancient and early medieval structures of Sogd”. He has published over 120 scientific and methodological works. In particular, 4 monographs, 3 textbooks, 7 textbooks have been published. Aytmuratov Jalgas, candidate of historical sciences. assistant professor. Was born on April 7, 1957 in the Kungrad region. Graduated from Nukus State University in 1978. Historian by profession. In 1997 he defended his dissertation on the topic “General state and development of culture of Karakalpakstan in the 70-90s of the XX century.” More than 120 scientific and methodological works have been published. In particular, 5 monographs and 8 textbooks have been published. Since 2000 he has been working as an assistant professor at the Department of Archeology.

 

Tureeva Gulsara Arisovna, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor. Was born on March 7, 1967 in Nukus. Graduated from Nukus State University in 1989. Historian by profession. In 2006 he defended his thesis on “Experience and lessons of housing policy in Karakalpakstan.” More than 80 scientific papers have been published. In particular, 7 textbooks have been published. Since 1994 – assistant teacher at Karakalpak State University, since 2000 – associate professor at the Department of Archeology.

 

Karamanova Gulistan, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor. Born on April 23, 1968 in the Takhtakupir region. Graduated from Nukus State University in 1990. historian by profession. Since 1990 he has been working at the Karakalpak State University. In 2012 he defended his thesis on “History of Agrarian Relations in Karakalpakstan (1917-1941)”. Has published over 100 scientific papers. In particular, 9 textbooks have been published. Since 2014 he has been working as an assistant professor at the Department of Archeology.

 

Khakimniyazov Kuatbay Allaniyazovich, candidate of historical sciences. Was born on April 20, 1969 in the Nukus region. 1993 Graduated from Karakalpak State University. In 2002 he defended his thesis on “Experience and problems of Karakalpakstan (1930-1941)”. Since 1995 he has been working at the Karakalpak State University. About 50 scientific papers have been published. Including published 4 teaching aids. Since 2016, the Department of Archeology has been working as a senior lecturer.
