THE DEPARTMENT OF RUSSIAN LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE

The Department of Russian Language and Literature was established in 2015 on the basis of the Department of Russian Philology. The basis of the department was laid in 1937, when the Russian department was organized, it is one of the oldest departments of our university, which has long-standing traditions. At the origins of the department there was a talented teacher and organizer Sidorov A.N.

At different times talented professors and teachers worked at the department. Of these, professors – Petrov G.D, Urumbaev N.A., Umarov A.U.; associate professors – Senin P.I., Dzhaksybayev A.D., Khvan R.P., Zharimbetov A.Zh., Karimkhodjaev Sh.K., Naryzbayeva S.T., Beknazarova R.S. senior teachers – Sedletsky NB, Martemyanova NB, Fisher NF, Ivanova T.A., Berezovskaya GP, Rodionova L.L., Matevich MB, Kulakova Z.M. , Ligay L.I., Zubreeva A.A. and others. The department was headed by associate professors Senin P.I., Dzhaksybaev A.D., Khvan R.P., Zharimbetov A.Zh., Karamatdinova T.K., professor Umarov A.U. and others who continued the tradition of scientific, pedagogical and educational work of the department, giving priority to the quality of education and training of scientific personnel, giving all the strength and knowledge to students, conducted a great educational work and made invaluable contribution to the formation of the moral image of young fellows at the university.

Currently, the head of the department is associate Professor Khudaibergenova U.K. The department annually updates the texts of the lectures, plans, summaries of practical training in the light of new innovative educational technologies. The library has electronic versions for all disciplines of the department. The department pays special attention to specific courses and seminars that help students understand and assimilate the most important and difficult questions concerning the Russian language and literature.

Different articles are published annually, teachers of the department actively participate in Republican and international scientific conferences. Specifically, Khvan L.B., Khudaybergenova U.K. participated in national and international conferences that were held in Makhachkala, Tashkent, Samarkand.

Annually in April and May the department holds scientific and practical conferences such as “Modern Trends in Language and Literature” and “The World of Science and Spiritual Culture in Modern Conditions”. Over the past 3 years teachers of the department have published 2 anthologies, 2 textbooks, 1 teaching aid  and more than 50 scientific articles and theses.

In 2013 the Department of Russian Language and Literature made a great contribution into the opening of the specialty 5А120102 Linguistics (Russian) at the master department. Master students of the department actively participate in the Republican Scientific Conference “Young Philology of Uzbekistan” and the international conference “Vinogradov Readings”, which is held annually at the Uzbek National University named after Mirzo Ulugbek.

From the very beginning the department has established negotiations with leading universities such as Moscow State University, Kiev State University, NSU named after Ulugbek, USWLU, TSIOS, Seoul University of Foreign Languages. The Department pays due attention to spiritual and educational work. The staff is working on the formation of national spirituality, enriching the culture of students. Annually on a university-wide scale the department conducts literary evenings, quizzes, activities like “Lovers of Russian Literature”, discussions on issues of spirituality and enlightenment.

In the light of the modernization of the educational system, the department introduces new pedagogical technologies into the educational process, creates new-type teaching aids. Increased demands on the quality of lectures and practical classes, to the knowledge and literacy of students. The professional and pedagogical orientation of teaching the Russian language and literature in connection with the new concept of education has been introduced.

Khvan Lyudmila Borisovna, candidate of pedagogical sciences, professor. Born on December 14, 1945 in the city of Kungrad. In 1967 she graduated from Karakalpak State Pedagogical Institute. Has the qualification of the teacher of Russian language and literature. In 1978 she defended her thesis on the topic: “The system of lessons of Russian literature as a means of grasping reader’s interests.” Author of more than 50 scientific and methodical works. Of these, 4 monographs, 5 anthologies, 25 textbooks were published. Since 1992, she has been working as a professor at Karakalpak State University.

 

 

Khojaniyazova Aygul Aytmuratovna, candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor. She was born on January 16, 1971 in the city of Nukus. In 1988 she entered the Tambov State Pedagogical Institute, in 1993 she graduated from the Nukus State Pedagogical Institute. Has the qualification of the teacher of Russian language and literature. In 2007 she defended her thesis on the topic: “Models of the level of knowledge of the Russian language on the basis of testing as a means of improving the quality of educational process (on the material of schools of the Republic of Karakalpakstan).” Author of more than 60 scientific and methodological works. Of these, 3 monographs, 1 textbook, 19 teaching aids were published. In 2008-2015, she headed the university department of foreign languages. Since 2015 she has been working as an associate professor.

 

 

Kabulova Lola Tolybayevna, candidate of philological sciences, associate professor. She was born on July 3, 1965 in the city of Nukus. In 1987 she graduated from the Taganrog State Pedagogical Institute. Has the qualification of the teacher of Russian language and literature. In 1998 she defended her thesis on the topic: “The function of verbal nouns in the journalistic style.” Author of more than 50 scientific and methodical works. Of these, 1 textbook, 5 textbooks were published. Since 2003, he has been working as an associate professor at Karakalpak State University.

 

 

Amanova Aysultan Abdirazakovna, candidate of philological sciences, associate professor. She was born on December 22, 1957 in the city of Nukus. In 1980 she graduated from the Moscow State Pedagogical Institute. Has the qualification of the teacher of Russian language and literature. In 1993 she defended her thesis on the topic: “The Karakalpak novel of the 30th and early 50s (questions of typology and ethics).” Author of more than 50 scientific and methodical works. Of these, 1 monograph, 8 textbooks were published. Since 2003, he has been working as an associate professor at Karakalpak State University.
