Today at Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh, headed by the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Uzbekistan Mehmet Surayyo Er, there was held the meeting with the coordinator of the Turkish Agency for Cooperation and Development (TIKA) in Uzbekistan Ali Ihsan Chaglar and representatives of the embassy. Initially, the University administration welcomed the guests in front of the main building of KSU.

At the meeting, the KSU Rector Akhmed Reymov greeted the guests who arrived in Karakalpakstan, including Karakalpak State University, and noted that this meeting would further strengthen friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Turkey.

In turn, Ambassador Mehmet Surayyo Er said that this meeting would be a new step in the development of cooperation between the two countries, especially in higher education.

Currently, the University is actively working to strengthen cooperation with higher educational institutions of the Republic of Turkey. A memorandum of cooperation between KSU and Ataturk University has been signed. An agreement was also signed with Ataturk University on the Turkish “MEVLANA” program, which is expected to provide an exchange of students in the 2019 – 2020 academic year.

During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for further cooperation, as well as expressed the views and suggestions of the administration of Karakalpak State University on cooperation with the TIKA organization.
