Welcome speech of the Rector of Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh Reymov Akhmed Mambetkarimovich (Republic of Uzbekistan) at the opening ceremony of the XIV Assembly of the Russian World

Dear President of the foundations “Unity for peace”, “Politics” Mr. Vyacheslav Alekseevich Nikonov!

Dear Executive Director of the “Russian World” Foundation Mr. Vladimir Vyacheslavovich Kochin! Dear Assembly participants, colleagues, friends!

First of all, on behalf of the Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh, let me express my gratitude to the Organizing Committee of the Fourteenth Assembly for the great honor shown to me, and make a welcoming speech at this truly fateful forum.

I would like to start my speech with the words of the great classic Berdakh, whose name our university bears, perceived as an eternal call to humanity: “Friend, stretch out your hand to a friend, we are strong, if not alone”. It should be noted that Berdakh’s call is in tune with the activities of the “Russian World” Foundation, the problems identified by this Assembly, the significance of which is determined by the consolidating force, which is the phenomenon of rapprochement between the nations and peoples, the youth of the world.

As a summary, I would like to refer to the experience of Uzbekistan, which implements in practice interethnic harmony, good-neighborly relations with the Near and Far Abroad. It should be noted that in Uzbekistan Russian culture, the Russian language, as before, remains an integral part of the spiritual life of the people.

In many respects, thanks to this, the academic and cross-cultural personal mobility of teachers and students is activated from year to year. Many of them are executors of international scientific projects, participants of conferences and festivals. So, this year, thanks to a grant from the “Russian World” Foundation, students of our university received a new generation Russian language textbook free of charge. Our country has become one of the winners of the total dictation this year.

Hence, the problems that will be solved at this Assembly seem to be very important and modern in terms of implementing new constructive ideas, in familiarizing with the culture of Russia, in enhancing the exchange of experience of scientists, and integrating the education sphere of our countries into the global educational space.

In conclusion, I would like to wish new achievements and creative success to the organizers and participants of the Assembly. Thanks for attention.
