DEPARTMENT OF GERMAN LANGUAGE

In 1958 15 students graduated the department of German language. They were sent to different parts of the republic. Among them I.K. Zameshaeva remained to work at the department of the German language. From the first year they were taught by such professors-teachers as R.I.Bank, R.M.Sidikova and others.

In 1956, the Department of Foreign Languages was divided into 2 departments – English and German. And from this year until 1976 I K Zameshayeva headed the department.

The department was headed by associate professors of the department A.Kurbanbaev, M.Avezov, S.Dzhakipov, E.Kunnazarov A. Dzhumamuratov, D. Berdimuratov and K.Amanbaev.

From 2013 to the present, heads the department of German language and literature Dauletniyaz Berdimuratov. Currently, the department employs 10 teachers, among them 2 associate professors, 3 senior and 5 assistant-teachers. The scientific relations of the department are very wide, it has connections with higher educational institutions of the city of Tashkent, Samarkand.Professor of the University of Bonn, K.Reichl, visited our university several times. He taught German and English students about various aspects. He was awarded the title of honorary professor of Karakalpak State University. The German Embassy in Uzbekistan pays special attention to learning German. From their side, the Oratory Art Contest is held every year. And at this competition, our students annually take an active part, taking their rightful places. Communication was established with the Goethe Institute and the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) in Tashkent. From their side, the Deutschlehrertagung (German Teachers’ Day) is held once every two years for teachers of the German language in Uzbekistan, where our teachers also take an active part. In addition, the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) and the Goethe Institute hold seminars at our university. Every year, several department students improve their knowledge at the Goethe Institute in Tashkent.The courses for advanced training at seminars were held in Germany and Austria. The teachers of the department A. Kurbanbaev, O. Ibragimov, Y. Kurbanov, A Dzhumamuratov, D. Berdimuratov, A. Mambetniyazova and G. Babayeva participated in these training-courses.At our department, students are very interested in learning German. From year to year, our students began to achieve great success in the knowledge of a foreign language. An example is the fact that three students of our department Dzhalgasbayeva Viktoriya (in 2017), Ataeva Ogulnur and Sarsenbayeva Aydin (in 2018) have completed summer language improvement courses in the cities of Germany.In addition, to determine the level of language knowledge of the German language in the ONSET test twice a year, not only students of the German language and literature department participate, but also students of the English language and literature department and receive language certificates with a certain language level.In 2008, under guardianship of Germany and Austria, School No. 6 named after Berdakh became a specialized school where they learn German language in depth. The students of the department held their pedagogical practice in this school.Since 2018, communication has been established with the organization of the Ministry of Economy of Germany SES – Senior Experten Servis (Senior Experts Service). With the help of this association, an expert from Germany, Hans-Günther Passmann, was invited to improve the qualifications of teachers and students in practical language skills, especially with respect to the spoken language and proper use of grammar, at the initiative of the department’s leadership

 

 

Kurbanbayev Aminbay, Ph.D., associate professor, was born in 1940 in Turtkul district.In 1965, he graduated the Tashkent State Pedagogical Institute with a degree in German teacher in secondary school and a teacher of Uzbek language and literature in a part-time school.He defended his thesis in 1975 in Baku on the topic “Methods of teaching German pretexts to students of the national audience.” In 1985 he was awarded the title of associate professor.He is the author of more than 100 scientific, methodical works. Among them are 2 monographs, 5 textbooks, 8 textbooks and many scientific articles, theses. At this time, Aminbay Kurbanbayev, together with teachers of the department, is working on a German-Karakalpak and Karakalpak-German dictionary.

 

 

 

Khamidov Nuratdin Shamshetdinovich, Ph.D. in Philology, was born on May 1, 1975 in the Chimbay district. In 1997, he graduated Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh, specialty teacher of German and English.In 2008 he defended his thesis on the topic: “The structural and semantic features of adverbs in the German and Karakalpak languages.” Author of more than 30 scientific and methodical works.Since 1997, he has been working at the Department of German Language and Literature, and since 2013, he has been working as an assistant professor in this Department.Also at the department works senior lecturers A. Dzhumamuratov, M. Ametova, assistants-teachers A. Taekeyeva, Y. Kurbanov, A. Mambetniyazova, M. Paluanova and G. Babayeva.
