On November 15 of this year, the “November Seminar” was held at Karakalpak State University, which is considered to be one of the supporting higher educational institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The seminar was held with the participation of doctors of science and professors of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Karakalpak Branch of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, research institutes and higher educational institutions of Karakalpakstan engaged in scientific and scientific-pedagogical activities.

The event was held by Head of the Karakalpak Branch of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Academician N.Aymbetov.

The main purpose of the seminar was to broadly discuss recent reforms in the field of science and education in our country, including the content of the recently adopted Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On science and scientific activities” and the role of measures taken in the life of the state and the public in the field of scientific activity, as well as presenting to the general public the latest achievements of scientific activity of scientists of Karakalpakstan and sharing experience in this direction.

At the event, the President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, academician B. Yuldashev, in his speech, noted the high attention and care shown by the President of our country Sh.M.Mirziyoyev over the past three years in strengthening the material and technical base of the sphere, further developing research work by representatives of the education sector and science, reforms carried out in order to strengthen the social protection of workers in the field.

In particular, a number of increases in the monthly wages of employees of higher educational institutions and research institutions with a scientific degree and title, the promotion of the implementation of the results of research activities in practice, through which a number of organizational measures aimed at increasing the role and the importance of scientific activity in the society. At the same time, we are firmly convinced that the recent adoption of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On science and scientific activities” serves as a solid legal basis for the ongoing effective work and these initiatives, of course, will continue to give positive results.

At the seminar meeting, the leaders and scientists of all the higher educational institutions of Karakalpakstan took an active part and expressed their opinions and suggestions to the organizers of the seminar.

The seminar was held at a high organizational level in the form of questions and answers.
