As you know, on December 30, 2019, the meeting of young people with workers involved in planting plants in the dried up territories of the Aral Sea was held, where, along with other students, students of Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh took an active part.
At the meeting, Chairman of Jokargi Kenges of the Republic of Karakalpakstan M.Erniyazov, Adviser to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan T.Khudaybergenov made a speech and dwelt on large-scale measures aimed at comprehensive support for young people, improving the lives of people living in environmental conditions, mitigating the environmental situation associated with the drying up of the Aral Sea.
As noted, at the meeting with young people at the Muhammad al Khorezmiy School of Information Technology, our President paid attention to the educated, fair and dedicated young leaders of all spheres who are actively involved in political and public activities, putting the interests of the people above their own. The purpose of organizing this meeting is to get acquainted young people with these works, and thus increase their love for their native land and increase their activity in such events.
During the President’s visit to Karakalpakstan on November 15-16, 2018, the tasks were identified to improve the Aral Sea region on the socio-economic side, to ensure happy and prosperous life for the people, to plant dry plants resistant to aridity on 500 thousand hectares of the dried territory of the Aral Sea, and thus to create green forests. Last season, the land area of approximately 1 million 125 thousand hectares was prepared, saxaul and other drought-resistant plants were planted on 500 thousand hectares, and this year it is planned to plant on 700 thousand hectares.
In turn, the young participants of the meeting made a speech and noted that they would actively participate in mitigating the environmental situation that arose due to the drying of the Aral Sea, protecting the environment and planting drought-resistant plants to prevent the rise of salt dust from the bottom of the Aral Sea.
The group of young people selflessly working in the former territory of the Aral Sea was awarded with badges ”Patriot of Motherland” by Jokargi Kenges of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
Then, the young participants got acquainted with the growth state of the saxauls planted last year. They became participants in the planting work with using various techniques and aircraft.

In continuation of these events, on January 4, in the “Youth Center” of our capital, Chairman of Jokargi Kenges of the Republic of Karakalpakstan M.Erniyazov, Adviser to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan T.Kudaybergenov and other heads of departments met with young people.
The group of active students from Berdakh Karakalpak State University also took part in the event.
At the event, T.Kudaybergenov elaborated on the work being carried out in the Muynak region, showed the video and photo about visiting Muynak and urged the youth to be active in the forest stand on the dry bottom of the Aral Sea.
It was also noted that at the International Press Club, which will be held on January 10 of this year, it is necessary to dwell on the work of young people from Karakalpakstan in the Muynak region.
