Nowadays it is worth paying attention to high achievements of the athletes of our country in the Olympic Games, world championships, Asian Games and championships, as well as international competitions, the increasing of the prestige and sports potential of Uzbekistan in the world, the building of sports facilities in the regions of the country, and our students’ victories in the “Umid Nihollari”, “Barkamol Avlod” and “Universiada” sports games.
On the basis of the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated to April 23, 2019 on ensuring execution of the tasks specified in the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Measures for Further Development of the System of Public Administration in the field of Physical Culture and Sport” dated to March 5, 2018 and the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Preparation of Uzbekistan Athletes for the XXXII Summer Olympic Games and the XVI Paralympic Games in Tokyo” the month of May was marked as the «Month of Sport».
The purpose of this month is to promote a healthy lifestyle among the people and embody the sport in their hearts. It’s a huge project that unites millions of young people in our country.

The seven – time champion of Uzbekistan on arm wrestling, the 3 – year student of the Faculty of Physical Culture of our University Sapura Kaypnazarova has won the Zulfiya State Prize this year.
We are very glad that last year in October, Klara Darmenbayeva, the 2 – year student of the Faculty of Physical Culture was a winner of the Sambo World Tournament in Georgia and this year on March 1, Bakhtigul Baltaniyazova, the 3 – year student of the Faculty of Physical Culture has become the winner of the International Tournament in freestyle wrestling in Bulgaria. Also, on February 24, 2019, the 3 – year student of the faculty Jalgyzbay Berdimuratov was the winner of the World Greco-Roman Wrestling Tournament in Croatia, and recently, on April 23-28, at the Asian Championship in Sports Wrestling in China, Aktenge Keunimjayeva won the third place in 53 kg weight category.
On May 2, 2019, the “Month of Sport” started at Berdakh Karakalpak State University. At the event Rector of the University Akhmet Reymov and the well-known sportsmen – veterans of our republic, well-known coaches and young sportsmen had a speech and noted about the importance of the event.
The “Month of Sport” event continued with a festive concert organized by the University and the Song and Dance Ensemble of Border Forces of National Security Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan. People’s Artist of Uzbekistan G.Mamazaytova, Honored Artists of Uzbekistan Ya.Muminov and T.Jabborov, as well as Karakalpak pop stars made a great impression on spectators.
