The World Championship Wrestling Championship, held in the capital of Kazakhstan on September 14-22, was successful for our representatives on September 17. In the weight category up to 77 kg, Jalgasbay Berdimuratov, a 4th year student of Physical Culture Faculty of Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh, competed with Askhat Dilmukhammedov, one of the hosts for the bronze medal.

In the sharp and uncompromising struggle the student of KSU J.Berdimuratov won with a score of 3: 1 and was awarded with the bronze medal. He also earned the right to participate at the Tokyo Olympic Games.

J.Berdimuratov won the championship of Uzbekistan on Greco-Roman wrestling and was admitted to KSU without exams. He became a champion of Uzbekistan several times. He took the 1st place at the Asian Championship in the city of Taichung, Taiwan, held on June 15-17, 2017.

We hope that Jalgasbay Berdimuratov will raise the flag of our country at the Tokyo Olympic Games.
