Rector of Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh Akhmed Reymov has received Vice-President of Aichi Prefecture University of Japan Hiroaki Kawabata.

   Rector of the University Akhmed Reymov described the visit as the first step towards cooperation.

   During the meeting, Mr. Hiroaki Kawabata was acquainted with the activities of the faculties of Karakalpak State University, the current work on the study of the Japanese language, and international relations.

   During the meeting, Rector of the University proposed to sign a memorandum of cooperation between two universities on behalf of Hiroaki Kawabata, to implement joint educational programs and carry out academic exchanges of students in the fields of economics, natural sciences and philology.

   The guest expressed his wish not only Karakalpak youth learn Japanese, but also Japanese students learn Karakalpak language and culture.

   At the end of the meeting, the sides agreed to expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest and take all necessary measures to implement them.

 

   On behalf of the University Rector of the University Akhmed Reymov presented the guest with souvenirs, which tell about the history of Karakalpakstan.

During the meeting, Hiroaki Kawabata got acquainted with the work on learning Japanese at the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the University.
