Current year, on September 4th, senior students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages successfully started their practical lessons. First and foremost, they were taught how to conduct practical lessons, requirements and responsibilities. The students of groups 401,402 and 409 of the English language and literature department of the Foreign Languages Faculty were decided to have their practical lessons at school number 17, and students of groups 403, 404, 405, 406, 407 and 408 were going to have practical lessons at the academic lyceum under Karakalpak State University.
Each student was assigned an experienced Methodist teacher who shared their knowledge with the students. During the first week of practice, students were given the opportunity to observe the lessons, to know the levels, and interests of the their learners . “I was a bit nervous and hesitant during the first practice lesson, but after seeing the enthusiasm in the my learners’ eyes, I tried to work on myself, in order to make the lesson more effective and to increase their interest in learning English language ”said the young practitioners. Students are not only teaching English, they are also given particular groups and they are having tutorial and moral classes.
In fact, they are learning to educate their learners as well as teaching them to be disciplined. In addition to this, practitioners are not only taking part in their lessons but also they are observing their peers’ lessons and having the chance of discussing their mistakes, weaknesses as well as strengths.
