Today the representatives of Korean Energy Agency, the International Institute of Solar Energy, “Hanbek Construction Co., Ltd” and “We Energy Co., Ltd” visited our University.

The guests were welcomed by Rector of KSU Akhmet Reymov, then they exchanged views on the prospects of cooperation.

It should be noted that the International Institute of Solar Energy, together with a number of foreign companies, is working with Korean energy experts to assist in the development of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources in Uzbekistan, presenting technical and economic projects “Construction of photoelectric systems of MVt (MegaVatt) class based on energy storage systems at the locations with the most severe climate change in Uzbekistan”.

The Republic of Karakalpakstan is one of the regions with the most severe climate change in Uzbekistan. Karakalpak State University is the main higher educational institution in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, which is engaged in research on the construction of solar power plants, and in supplying with key work personnel for these future solar power plants.

Bilateral cooperation was agreed upon during the event, and proposals for the construction of a solar power plant on the University campus and professional development of the students and professors – teachers were widely discussed.
