Currently, the problem of corruption is one of the factors hindering the development of civil society. The reason is the emergence of the problem of corruption in our life, which is detrimental to the supremacy of law, the implementation of democratic reforms, and the protection of human rights.

On October 15 of this year, at the Palace of Culture of Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh there was held an event on purpose of informing the general public on the content of the adopted on May 27 of this year the Decree of our President “On measures for further development of the anti-corruption system in the Republic of Uzbekistan”.

The event was headed by Head of the Committee of the Zhokargy Kenges (Supreme Council) of the Republic of Karakalpakstan S. Turmanov.

The event was attended by the representatives of self – governed organizations, the higher educational institutions, professors – teachers, students, as well as representatives of the media.

The participants of the event were offered watching the video-film about the struggle against corruption.

The event was continued by mutual exchange of views and answers to the interested questions.
